About Me

I'm a Mexican American student with a strong interest in environmental justice, community health, and creative storytelling. Over the past ten years, I’ve spent time on and off interning in the environmental justice sector, gaining experience in community-centered environmental work. During that time, I also participated in moss monitoring studies in the Duwamish Valley, contributing to research that helps communities better understand local air quality and environmental conditions.

Currently a Business Administration student concentrating in Marketing with a minor in Psychology. Passionate about understanding consumer behavior, building meaningful brand connections, and developing strategic marketing solutions that create both business growth and positive social impact. With a strong interest in sustainability and human-centered strategy, Vanessa aims to help organizations communicate authentically in an increasingly global marketplace.

In addition to my environmental work, I completed a Nursing Assistant program where I served as the president of my class. This experience strengthened my leadership skills and deepened my commitment to supporting the health and well-being of others.I also have a background in audio engineering, which allows me to bring a creative and technical perspective to the work I do. Whether through environmental advocacy, community health, or media and storytelling, I’m passionate about projects that amplify voices, support communities, and create meaningful impact.
